Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, share, and protect the personal information you share with us through this website.
Last updated: 19 August 2026
On this page
Connect Agency (“Connect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates theconnectagency.in (the “Site”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights available to you. It applies to visitors, prospective clients, newsletter subscribers, and job applicants who interact with the Site.
By using the Site or submitting information through it — for example, our contact form or newsletter sign-up — you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not submit personal information to us through the Site.
Information we collect
We only collect information that you choose to give us, or that is generated automatically as a normal part of operating a website. We do not require you to create an account, and the Site does not process payments.
Information you provide directly
- Contact form: your name, email address, company name, the service you are enquiring about, and the message you write to us — including if you are applying for a role listed on our Careers page, since applications are submitted through the same form.
- Newsletter subscription: the email address you enter in the “Subscribe to our insights” form.
- Any other correspondence: information you include when you email or call us directly using the details on our Contact page.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information for every visit — such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view — for security, troubleshooting, and basic traffic monitoring. We do not currently use analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics), advertising pixels, or session-recording tools on the Site.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form and get in touch about your project or job application;
- Send a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your message, and a welcome email when you subscribe to our newsletter;
- Send occasional insights, updates on reporting and ESG/BRSR practice, and other content you have subscribed to receive, where you may unsubscribe at any time;
- Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the Site; and
- Comply with applicable law, or respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell your personal information.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal information on the basis of your consent, given when you voluntarily submit a form on the Site, and, where relevant, our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and job applications directed to us. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) or other applicable data protection law requires a specific legal basis, that basis is consent, which you may withdraw at any time as described under “Your rights” below.
Cookies & tracking
The Site does not set analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Your browser may still make requests to Cloudflare’s content delivery network to load our icon font (Font Awesome); this is a standard technical resource, and the request may be logged by Cloudflare in line with its own privacy practices, but it is not used by us to track you across sites. If this changes — for example, if we add analytics in the future — we will update this policy and, where required by law, seek your consent first.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share it in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: the trusted providers who help us run the Site and deliver email — for example, our web hosting and outbound mail (SMTP) provider — process form submissions strictly on our behalf, solely to deliver them to our team inbox and to send you a confirmation or welcome email.
- Legal requirements: where we are required to disclose information to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a lawful request by public authorities.
- Business transfers: if Connect Agency were to undergo a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same protections described here.
Data security
Form submissions are sent to our team inbox over an authenticated, encrypted (TLS) email connection. We restrict access to information collected through the Site to the people who need it to respond to you, and we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We keep information collected through the contact form for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, pursue any resulting engagement, and meet our legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Newsletter subscriber email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights under applicable data protection law — including the DPDP Act in India — to:
- Ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, and access a copy of it;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Ask us to erase your information, or withdraw your consent to our processing it, at any time;
- Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, using the link or reply option in any email we send; and
- Lodge a grievance with us, or with your local data protection authority, if you believe we have not handled your information properly.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@theconnectagency.in. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and working professionals, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites — for example, in our Insights section or social profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites, and we encourage you to review their own privacy policies before sharing information with them.
International visitors
Connect Agency is based in India, and information you submit through the Site is processed and stored in India. If you are visiting from outside India, you understand and agree that your information will be transferred to, and processed in, India, which may have data protection laws different from those of your home jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
